Net Games/Team Sports/PEDPE -Net Games Grades 9-12 (semester)This semester course is an advanced study of net games such as Volleyball, Badminton, Pickle ball, Tennis, Ping Pong and Eclipse Ball. Through these sports, students will explore and develop lifetime physical activities. This course fulfills the Physical Education requirement for the Michigan Merit Curriculum.
PE - Team Sports Grades 9-12 (semester)This semester course is an advanced study of team sports such as Flag Football, STX (Lacrosse), Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball and Bowling. Through these sports, students will learn sport skills, teamwork, cooperation and sportsmanship. This course fulfills the Physical Education requirement for the Michigan Merit Curriculum. PED – Physical Education Development Grades 9-12 (semester)This semester course will emphasize a combination of Team Sports, Net Games, Personal Fitness, and Nutrition. Students will be required to keep a health log for two days a week and will be expected to participate in weekly traditional physical activities to meet course requirements. Health Grade 9 (required semester class)This course is designed to cover the basics of health education as required by the state of Michigan as it relates to health and physical fitness. This course fulfills the Health requirement for the Michigan Merit Curriculum. Junior High Physical Education We also offer PE and Health for both the 7th and 8th grade students which consists of all the various net games, team sports, fitness, and the state requirement pertaining to the teaching of HIV/AIDS. |
